The growth of Born Global Startups accelerated with the pandemic

IDA(Istanbul Development Agency) General Secretery Erkam Tüzgen: “As the agency, we will invest in venture capital funds that will invest in startups in Istanbul. In this way, startups will overcome financial obstacles much more easily in the near future.”

The “WinGlobal: Born Global StartUps” program, which was launched three years ago with the aim of strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem of Istanbul and increasing the global competitiveness and regional attraction of the Istanbul economy, gave its third term graduates.

The program, whose target audience is global-born StartUps, continues to be carried out as of 2018 by the Commercialization Center of Istanbul (BTM), which was established by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) to encourage entrepreneurship.
